The people at Lowes Foods are always incredible from the minute they see you. Despite the recent renovations & parking challenges, you ask anyone for help & they'll walk you right to the aisle for the item you were looking for. Great selections, sale items, and earn 5¢ off on gas which we can all use with the gas games out there.
It would have been comical if it had not been so obvious that the manager was working with a clear case of entitlement in her position. I am sure that Lowe's will take care of the whole thing when the difficulties are made known to them. In the meantime we will continue shopping and looking for bargains.
Recent contact with the manager in order to straighten out a simple problem with a phone number turned into a customer service nightmare. The manager yelled across the shoulder of the customer they were working with on the phone number problem and called a clerk over to the Self-Service area. The manager refused to correct the difficulty telling the customer to tell the clerk, whenever they came to shop at the store, to keep hitting 'Next' in order to get to the right customer name associated with the phone number. The manager loudly and repeatedly asserted that she could not change the number as the other customer it had become assigned to might have had it first.

Enjoy shopping at Lowe's Foods. I just bought some fresh salmon. I do NOT like the way you package fresh fish. Lowe's use to wrap in a plastic bag, then sealed it in a white freezer safe bag with self-adhesive seal. Now, Lowe's uses a chincy plastic bag that offers no protection to your fish while shopping or transporting. If this does not change, my fresh fish and meat purchases will go else where.
Quick stop to look for some wine. Store was clean and well stocked. Good selection of local wines. Some remodeling going on but the area was safe and free of hazards. Would stop again when passing this way.
This particular Lowe's location continues to disappoint me. It is conveniently located by distance from my home in Cape Carteret, but even that is a bit of a problem. The lights and intersections at this particular area are difficult to navigate even during times of low traffic. This area is a tourist destination and in the two times of the year when tourists come along accessing this store is very difficult.
One would think that such difficulties would be counterbalanced by excellent customer service. Not so at this location. Staff appears nervous and touchy. Questions are answered slowly and generally. The management is even worse.
The store is well stocked with brand names but, apparently because it is located here in this county, the prices are outrageous. Examples include 5 dollar bags of potato chips and 4 dollars for pound of spaghetti. These, of course, are market pressures. A particular difficulty at this location is the position of the liquor, wine and beer. When customers enter the store that is the first thing that is seen. It contends with the fruit and vegetable display and is rather mortifying. We are struggling with teenage drinking as well as a continuing problem with adults drinking and driving and this sort of display doesn't help much. I wonder about how Lowe's thinks of its role in our community and society.
